The focus is not on photography and the photographer,but on the posers and their lifestyle.

"...In many of the images you see crews posted up against freshly painted graffiti walls. Others show youth with spray paint cans and pilot markers, indicating that they are graffiti artists. Some include kids rocking gold chains around their necks with facial expressions of pure confidence. One of my favorites is one of a crew looking out windows of a train covered in graffiti. As a photographer viewing this particular photograph, it reminds me of a truly iconic image like so many of the others in the book that have now have become frozen in time.
Cause We Got Style! is a visual time capsule for the next generation of visionaries to study and learn from. As I would always tell the subjects back in the 70’sand 80’s, this work may not make sense to you now, but trust me years from now it will have its place in history, and offer their children a glimpse to how life was in that time period."
